Ködak

The training named “Ködak”, organised by Makosz (The Hungarian high school students’ organisation in Romania) ended this weekend. The chain of courses began in October, with an entrance examination where the organisers chose the most suitable 16 students for the training. We got opportunities not only to make acquintances and form new relationships, but to gain experiences which others  had gained through  long periods of hard work. The leader-training course was held at five different weekends and venues, each having various topics. We learned about teambuilding, constitutional and tender management, organizing functions, representation of interests, student rights, and how to run a training yourself. At the end of these courses, the team organized their workshop, where we could share our ideas about problems like success, realizing your own goals in life, and achieving them. During these series of trainings we had a lot of fun, we learned and played together with the team and our trainers. We also had the chance to experience how to pay attention to others and how to work in a group.
Every weekend when we met, first we played icebreakers in order to create the perfect atmosphere for group work and cooperation.
Despite the fact that the courses ended, the team will still remains team, we plan to keep in touch and meet from time to time. The real challenge is practicing what we have learned and further learn form each other’s experiences and feedback.
I am convinced that all the knowledge we acquired during this six-week course will be extremely useful both in our student life and  future career. Personally, I think that my own personality became richer and more fullfilled thanks to these sessions.

ATTENTIONING CAMPAIGNE ORGANISED BY THE MAKOSZ AGAINST THE NEW REFORMS OF THE EDUCATIONAL SYTEM

The MAKOSZ (Union of Hungarian Highn-school Students from Romania), a national organization with the mission to defend the interest of students, does not agree with the educational reform input by Ecaterina Andronescu, minister for education.
This educational reform concerns about the reduction of class hours like physical education, headmasters class, and foreign languages classes, which play an important role in the physical and psychological education of the students. Headmasters classes, for example, have an important role in the forming of a community within the classroom, essential in the society of the 21st century.
Physical education classes are important for the mental and physical health of the students, in times when we are fighting against obesity on a  national level.
The reduction of the up mentioned classes is not the best way to solve the existing problems, because the consequences of this reform can be crucial for the future of the students.
MAKOSZ thinks that not the reduction of these class hours would be the most important thing to make, having also as a consequance the loss of some workplaces in the educational system, but the revision and reduction of the didactic material ,and the reduction of the size of the class hours to 40 minute classes, which can solve the problem of the pressure which is put on the students.
MAKOSZ organises a japanese strike at a national level, and a protest march in Cluj-Napoca. With the help of this attentioning campaigne MAKOSZ asks the Ministry Of Education to rethink the educational reform, in a way that these reforms not to influence the students in a negative way.
